The Mt. Hayes Record
An open archive of anomalous experience in the eastern Alaska Range.
WHY THIS PAGE EXISTS
People who spend time in this part of Alaska tend to have certain stories we do not tell.
I grew up with that mountain and its vast range. I have spent years writing these experiences. Now, I’d love to know yours.
If you have lived, worked, served, hunted, flown, or traveled through the eastern Alaska Range and something happened out there that you have never been able to forget, I want to record it.
You do not need to know what it was. You do not need concrete evidence. You do not need to believe anything in particular about your experience. You only need to tell it the way it happened and allow it to have a life of its own.
Why this corridor
This is not a mountain pulled out of folklore. The stretch of country between Delta Junction and Paxson carries a strange amount of documented history for how few people live there. UFOs. Bigfoot. Orbs. Ghosts. Strange entities. Paranormal anomalies.
– Fort Greely
Sits at Delta Junction. A long-classified past, and active missile defense operations today.
– HAARP at Gakona
Ionospheric research facility in the same corridor, now operated by the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
– Poker Flat Research Range
North of Fairbanks. The only university-owned rocket range in the world.
– Instrumented ground
Seismic and infrasound monitoring already runs through the range.
– Ahtna and Tanana Athabascan homeland
This land carries its own accounts, held long before anyone called them anomalies.
– The Alaska Triangle record
The disappearance history runs straight through here, including the 1972 loss of Hale Boggs.
None of that proves a thing. It only means this is a reasonable place to look.

What Happened
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU SEND IT:
I read everything that comes in. I may not answer quickly. That is not a judgment on your account, it is just how much of this there is.
Nothing is published without your word. If I want to feature what you sent, I will write to you first and you will see the piece before it goes anywhere.
You can take it back. Ask me to remove your account at any time, for any reason, and it comes out. You do not owe me an explanation. Write to contact@venniekocsis.com.
Submissions are stored privately. Only I have access to them.
This is a documentation project, not a support service. I can read your account and hold it safely, but I am not a counselor and cannot offer that kind of help.
WHERE THESE STORIES GO: Featured on Centarficus. Selected accounts are featured on Centarficus, with your permission and on your terms. Featured testimony is free to read, permanently. No one’s account of their own life will ever sit behind a paywall here.
