a field report from the organized chaos of my creative space…
🌃Opening Transmission
🍂🍁 November Note: The clocks fall back this weekend, and I’m thrilled. An extra hour of sleep? Yes, please. I’ll also get a little more daylight in the morning, which feels like a small gift this time of year. The evenings will go dark early, so I’m leaning into candles, blankets, and a lot of tea. Halloween was fun, even though I spent it with a shitty head and chest cold. I wasn’t going to let a little congestion stop me. I had some spooky poetry fun anyway, and I’m happy I did. Now I’m looking ahead to Thanksgiving. That means one thing in my kitchen: my infamous pumpkin cheesecakes. I can’t wait.

🎯My Target Focus
- I’m easing into the holidays and keeping my focus on dedicated writing. I’m also looking forward to working with more writers who are just starting their memoir journey. If that’s you, book a consultation with me here, and let’s talk about how to get your story going.
- I’ve been recording podcasts with other people, and I’m enjoying the process. I’m also thinking about some new creative projects for 2027. I’m sitting with which offers will best serve my message and the cult and trauma survivors who are so dear to my heart. More on that soon.
Before You Go
As we head into the Thanksgiving season, I’m holding on to gratitude and mindfulness. Not the pressured kind, but the gentle kind. A warm cup of tea. A quiet moment. One deep breath before you walk into a crowded room.
I’m also thinking of those who are struggling this year. If there’s an empty chair at your table, I’m thinking of you. Your grief belongs here, and you don’t have to hide it to make anyone else comfortable. If you’re facing a room with difficult family, remember you’re allowed to set boundaries, step outside, or leave early. Protecting your peace is not rude.
And if your holiday looks different from the one you wish you had, I hope you’ll find your own kind of table. Chosen family counts. A quiet night alone counts too.
Whatever this season holds for you, I’m grateful you’re here and that you read these words.
With love,
