Sometimes it helps me to dump my head through visuals. I believe deeply in art and photography therapy for trauma survivors. Many of you say “but I’m not a good artist!” See, it’s not about being “good” in someone’s eyes, even your own. It’s about figuring out your method to expel pent up energy.
Slashes of red and orange paint swiped across a canvas can be an abstract release of anger. Photos of flowers you love can lift your spirits. There is no method set except the one you choose.
Here are a few examples of art pieces and photos of things that called my to me. If you’d like to see more, you can visit my art store at:

I love this post. Just wondered about the monarch butterfly?

Where do you see the butterfly?

On the eye of the left face. My friend Genesis used the monarch a lot due to her past, I was just thinking maybe it being in your art has similar meaning?

Ah, that’s actually an upside down mushroom, but interesting that you visualized a butterfly. I wonder if the way we see art is also a part of our own personal processes too. I don’t like sharing the intention behind what I create because I just love to know what others see for themselves. 💞💞

I ment the one with “caution” over her mouth. Three butterflies 🙂

Ah – that piece is called “From Waif to Warrior”. There’s actually 6 butterflies total; a representation of the Monarch transformation. 🦋

Releasing anger through creativity is so healing. The poem today on my poetry blog here on WordPress is about female anger in case you have time to look? Have a good day, Sam 🙂

I read it and FELT. I loved that once we release our rage we are free. Oh yes, I so agree!
